Long Awaited Update
So i didn't get to my summer project of making pictures buttons. But nevertheless i actually had stuff to do (abeit not taking up my ENTIRE summer) so i had a (bad) reason to say i dont have time. Anyways, if that made ne sense, then you can continue reading. So my cousin, Vicky, came over from Taiwan this summer and she's gonna go to college here. Makes me think a lot. We're all so lucky (the FOBs) to be here and study, cuz many many others dont have the chance, especially those who came so early on in their life. A lot of people dream about studying abroad, and we actually are, this is very very exciting, considering the people we did meet and those we are going to meet, some others will never have that chance. They will only know the next-door-third-floor oba-san. So we're awfully lucky.
So that's my sentimental ranting. More about the summer so far. i had to take Vicky to register at CCC, and that took around a whole week cuz it included registering, Frosh orientation and placement testing for ESL students. But all good. Secondly, it's great to be back at church with the home churchies to hang out and do stuff. That being said Stanley which church u go to now? if you're lazy on sunday, dont be. but i dont think he is. Maybe some others will know better than me where he is on sundays.
So the NBA finals is around, and the Lakers just lost game 3 badly to Detroit by 20, 88-68, as the Pistons take a 2-1 lead in the series. I wonder how they will come back. It usually takes awhile for to settle in for me when they lost. I dont usually immediately panic when the lose. But like a few hours later i'd start worrying. Haha, that's me i guess. But nevertheless it's going to test the Lakers a lot, the Detroit team. It seems that if they shut down Chancey Billups and let Rip Hamilton get his, then it'd be fine, just like in the SA series, where the let Duncan go and shut down Tony Parker by sending an extra guy at him. I think we're going to see it for the next couple of games. Cudos to the Pistons though, they really showed the Lakers. that being said, GO LAKERS!!
Is there anymore to talk about... oh, all my friends are still in school!! argh i'm in agony! Cuz i can't go hang out really, there really isn't anyone to hang with. All i can do is go to school, but it's only me and it's not as much fun when a gang of 7-10 ppl go with you! Come back friends from finals, UCI and UCLA.
